As Raccoon came to the pond at the end of Trout Gulch, he saw Moose,
who raised his great antlers in the very polite way
both moose and deer have of saying hello
"We are going on a picnic", Raccoon called to Moose.
"And you are invited, unless you like your pond weeds better.
Or would you prefer candied wild ginger with sweet and sour mushrooms today instead?"
"That does sound good", thought Moose, as he slowly climbed up out of the pond.
"When do we leave and where are we going?", he asked.
"To the Eating Place under the Hazelnut trees", replied Raccoon.
"Then we shall go sailing. And we are leaving right now!."
"The sailing boat must be quite large", said Moose,
"for I need lots of room and I am very heavy besides."
