Mel Lazarus, (born May 3, 1927), creator of "Miss Peach" (1957-2002), and "Momma" (1970-present) was was attending a dinner in San Francisco where Sergio Aragones was guest of honor after having been guest artist just down the street at the San Francisco Cartoon Art Museum.

Mel was watching Sergio draw at the easel, when I did his portrait

It was a high honor to have the President of the National Cartoonists Society autograph the drawing I'd just completed of him!
